A beautiful new cruise terminal—the largest in the world—just debuted in Miami, offering the city a modern and sleek gateway to the high seas while doubling as a stunning backdrop.

Developed in partnership with PortMiami and Miami-Dade County, the MSC Miami Cruise Terminal was designed by Arquitectonica and built by Fincantieri Infrastructure. Its futuristic design fully integrates the latest passenger technology, setting a new standard for efficiency and convenience.

The terminal can accommodate up to three ships simultaneously and process up to 36,000 passengers daily across its expansive 492,000 square feet of space—equivalent to over eight American football fields, in case you were wondering.

"Our new cruise terminal is the most advanced in the world, designed to offer a seamless experience for our guests before and after their cruise, setting a new benchmark for the industry," said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of the cruise division at MSC Group, in an official statement. "This incredible state-of-the art facility will not only enhance the travel experience but also bring significant economic benefits to the region, creating jobs and fostering growth in the local economy.”

Inside, travelers will be greeted by seven stunning works of art, commissioned from both local and international artists, that beautifully complement the space’s high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

But it’s the cutting-edge technology that really takes the experience to the next level. Guests can check in online and upload travel documents from the comfort of their own home. A state-of-the-art baggage handling system ensures efficient processing, while expedited check-in and security methods—featuring biometric face pods—streamline the entire journey.

If you’ve got time to relax before boarding, the terminal offers stylish waiting areas, along with an exclusive lounge for MSC Yacht Club guests.

Once you're ready to head out into Miami, the experience remains top-notch: a six-level garage with over 2,400 spaces is available if you're driving and there are also plenty of options for buses, ride shares and taxis.

Ready to book your trip? MSC Cruises has four ships scheduled to sail from the terminal throughout 2025. Find more information about each one right here
