Edukos One Year Anniversary Jam

In spite of Flagler Street’s perpetual construction delays and Hurricane Irma-related setbacks, the Little Havana gastropub prevailed long enough to celebrate its one year anniversary this weekend. And our bellies couldn’t be more excited. Join the team, along with folks from Fooq’s in Downtown and nearby Nightlife Brewery, for 12 bites (one tasty small plate for each month in business) and unlimited brews to keep you fueled during games of beer pong and Jenga.

Family Fun Day: Street Culture

Haven’t seen what’s new at HistoryMiami? Stop in to see the latest from Downtown quirky cultural center, “Avenues of Expression: Street Traditions in Miami,” which unpacks the city’s complicated history through found objects and local vignettes. Catch Tall Bikes 305 cycle through, make a mask depicting your own traditions and take advantage of free guided tours at 11am and 2pm.

The Color Run

It takes superhuman strength to get us to rise early on a Saturday for a workout, but we’ll make an exception for the “happiest 5k on the planet.” Lace up for a quick run through Fort Lauderdale’s Riverwalk and prepare to be doused with different colors at each kilometer marker. The friendly race wraps up with a party and the opportunity to win a paid vacation to Curaçao. (Huizenga Park, 32 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Seersucker Social at Vizcaya

Out come the trousers, cloche hats and bobs for Vizcaya’s glamorous garden party: The ’20s-themed soiree is decked in style, music and entertainment from the cheery era. Prepare for games of yard dice, flapper outfits and plenty of ragtime dancing. Museum admission covers entry to the event.
