Croissant Battle

Who makes Miami’s best croissant? Find out when several of the city’s top pastry chefs compete in the National Hotel’s first bake-off. There will be a fan prize, voted on by guests, and a grand prix, voted on by the judges. But the afternoon’s real winner will be you: after the competition, guests get to feast on croissants with jam, cheese and charcuterie.

Curator Culture: Questlove & Pedro Reyes

Listen to Questlove, of Tonight Show and Roots fame, in conversation with Mexican contemporary artist Pedro Reyes as part of the Bass’s four-part panel series. Writer and activist Tom Healy moderates the discussion that centers around the value of art and culture as it relates to one’s time. RSVP is required.

Earth Day Family Day in the Miami Design District

The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami starts the Earth Day celebrations early with a full day of activities designed for children of all ages. The younger set can make their own flower crowns while older kiddos create hanging mobiles. Storytime sessions and films screenings also take place throughout the afternoon.
