Look, the Heat may not be in the conversation to win it all this year (though we’re certainly pulling for them) but we still have plenty of reason to brag. That’s because Steph Curry, the golden boy of the Golden State Warriors, just betrayed his very own city on live television and admitted that Miami’s American Airlines Arena serves the best popcorn in the NBA.

Let that sink in, Miami. For a sports city short on championships, we have to take the wins where we can.

The news broke over on ESPN during a chat between NBA veteran Jalen Rose and Mr. Curry. “I hear you love popcorn the way I do,” Rose said before asking Curry to drop his definitive power ranking of the NBA’s best arena popcorn.

“The best right now is probably Miami,” Curry said with little hesitation. “It always comes fresh and hot, salty with a little bit of butter.” The worst, he went on to say, “is probably Philly right now.” And, yeah, that makes sense. We can see Philly dishing out some pretty nasty popcorn.

Watch for yourself here (popcorn-gate takes place at 1:15) and next time you’re at a Heat game, be sure to slip out at halftime for a little bit of that fresh popcorn. Be sure to ask for it Curry-style: salty with a little bit of butter and a $200 million contract.
