Could your pantry use a boost? Are you looking to step up your sauce game? Skip the grocery story and check out Chefstashed instead. Launched by local chef and baker Joyce Sosa, the subscription box service is filled with items made by other Miami chefs—from sauces and spreads to pickled veggies and sourdough bread.
She came up with the idea during lockdown while working with chefs on her own home pop-up. A one-time collab turned into an ongoing partnership as Sosa finds new local talent to include in her themed, curated boxes. She sees the business as a win-win for both diners and folks in the hospitality industry. “Customers choosing to stay home get to experience their favorite chefs while allowing these chefs to generate a new stream of income,” says Sosa.
So far, she’s worked on two and the second one, a BBQ box, is available now through July 4 or until it sells out. Inside you’ll find umami mayo by Benjamin Murray, spicy lychee honey by Sasha Ariel, Piklz by Proper Sausages, barbecue sauce by Coops BBQ Pit and burger buns by Sosa herself. It’s the perfect complement to any cookout you have planned this weekend or any day leading up to the Fourth.
Delivery is available within Miami-Dade and ranges between $5 and $8, depending on the distance from the Midtown neighborhood. And for those Father’s Day procrastinators out there, order today and Sosa will deliver it in time for your Sunday ‘cue with dad. Problem solved.
