Remember when cozy environments and quaint cafés were charming? Consider it a sign of the times, but now we favor big and spacious and preferably with an area for outdoor dining. Fortunately for chef Adrianne Calvo, she got a headstart on the trend: After 13 years, her namesake restaurant has officially moved on from its tiny, strip-mall digs in West Kendall and into a massive, indoor/outdoor space with seating for nearly 300 people.

The new Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant & Bar takes over the former Devon Seafood location at the Palms at Town & Country, an open-air shopping area also in Kendall. It boasts indoor seating (on hold for now), an outdoor space that can comfortably seat up to 80 people and a couple of private dining rooms where guests can host all kinds of personal celebrations. Calvo and her team—which includes her mother and grandmother—even handpicked serveware to make it extra special for private parties.

For the time being (read: lockdown), it’s all about the terrace, where you’ll have the opportunity to dine on old favorites, like Tuesday’s popular french onion soup special (a chef Eileen Andrade comfort-food pick), and sample new additions such as babyback ribs and chargrilled oysters. Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant & Bar is open now for dine-in and takeout: from 5 to 10pm on Mondays and 11am to 10pm Tuesday through Sunday.
