L.A.-based DJ/producer NGHTMRE, known for his trap beats and wild remixes, is just as comfortable chilling out as he is turning up on tour. While in Miami, the nightlife regular (he's made the rounds at LIV and Story) has been known to skip the afterparty in favor of checking out the city's more laidback spots. We caught up with NGHTMRE (real name: Tyler Marenyi) to find out where he'll be chilling out during Miami Music Week.
"No Miami trip is complete without a visit to the best sandwich place in town—La Sandwicherie is a legitimate Miami institution. I always load up on the fresh veggies and magic sauce and call it a day."
"Everyone knows this is the best joint for Mexican street food, margaritas and living like a native. The speakeasy-style back bar is where I like to soak up authentic Miami vibes and check out local musical talent."
"The Standard hotel is my favorite place to stay in Miami. I love that it’s on its own island, and I could chill by the infinity pool all day. The hot waterfall, cold pool and infinity pool are all open 24 hours, plus there is an amazing spa and a juice shop all within the hotel."
"Nowhere else in America can I get real Cuban food like in Miami, and Puerto Sagua is my go-to spot. They’ve been serving up Cuban comfort food for 50 years and I hope they never stop."
