Procrastinating bookworms, we have excellent news! If you have overdue books with the Miami-Dade Public Library (and we have a feeling you do) you no longer have to live like a fugitive—that is, if you act relatively fast.
Throughout the month of September, Miami-Dade Public Libraries will be waiving any late fees for overdue books, DVDs and anything else you may have checked-out in the past. That means you can finally part with that disintegrating copy of The Catcher in the Rye that’s been propping up your dining room table for the last three years.
You forgot? We forgive! September is Fine Forgiveness Month at #MDPLS! We’re forgiving late fees throughout September. Just return your overdue books or other items & we’ll waive your fines, no questions asked. https://t.co/ljEwNUkVal pic.twitter.com/BTvE7nIgWH

The program will only last during September, though. Come October 1, you’re a criminal again. And, rest assured, Miami-Dade Public Libraries will find you. And they will silently scold the heck out of you.
