As if lockdown wasn’t frustrating enough, Miami has been one soggy mess lately. We’ve been under siege by heavy downpours that resulted in flash-flood warnings across most of the city through Tuesday evening. It’s been so wet, in fact, that Miami shattered its 115-year-old record of 3.5 inches of rain set back in 1905. So far, we’re at 7.4 and climbing.
According to local news outlets, the worst of it is behind us as rain chances taper off into the weekend. Though don’t expect it to be sunny—it’s still Miami and it’s still spring. But do anticipate a few storms instead of the washout we experienced over Memorial Day.
Lest you forget that hurricane season starts next week, here’s a look at the insane flooding that ensued across Miami.
