Some people wear their sneakers to sweat. Others rock them for casual runs around town. And then, well, then there are those fans for which no closet is ever big enough: sneakerheads. These are the guys who know when the latest kicks are coming out, where to find them and just how many pairs will be up for grabs. We asked some of Miami’s most dedicated collectors to share details of their personal inventory and spill about where they shop.

Owns: 200 pairs
Most prized shoes: The Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October—a pair goes for about $6,000.
Favorite pair: Adidas Ultra Boost Wood Wood. Adidas has great comfort and style, but my favorite silhouette is the
Air Jordan XI.
Go-to sneaker store: Sneak Peek Luxury (25 SE 1st Ave; 786-899-0660). They have one of the best selections of hard-to-get sneakers.

Owns: 500 pairs
Most prized shoes: I have a custom pair of New Balance 1500 done by Bespoke Inc. out of Australia, which are inspired by the Puma Sharkbait. They’re made with nurse shark skin.
Favorite pair: The Diadora Castellers by LimitEDitions from Barcelona.
Go-to sneaker store: Shoe Gallery (244 NE First Ave; 305-371-2063), by a mile. They treat me like family and have the best selection.

Owns: 130 pairs
Most prized shoes: I have Yeezy Air Jordan IVs that were custom-made for me in Paris. The shoe is a mash-up of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 and the Air Jordan IV.
Favorite pair: My Air Jordan 1 Retro “Black Toe” (the original color from Michael Jordan’s first season).
Go-to sneaker store: UNKNWN (Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd; 305-937-2103). They do a great job with their selection (it’s the only place I found the Air Jordan XI Space Jam), as well as carry limited-release Adidas, like the Raf Simons Stan Smiths.

Owns: 50 pairs
Most prized shoes: Yeezy Boost 750 Triple Black. Although they aren’t as comfortable as the low-top Yeezys, they look good and are very exclusive.
Favorite pair: Yeezy 350s. They are the most comfortable shoe I’ve
owned. The zebra colorway matches any outfit.
Go-to sneaker store: Shoe Gallery (244 NE First Ave; 305-371-2063) and Cool J’s (various locations; cooljsonline.com). Not only do both stores offer a wide variety, but they also get the most exclusive sneaker releases.
