Being between the ages of 13 and 22 can be tough sometimes. Your teens and early 20s are not exactly known for their serenity, as you either already know or are about to find out. So, perks are a welcome relief for that demographic.

Culture Shock Miami is a local program that offers quite a bit of perks to those between age 13 and 22: tickets to a whole bunch of shows and cultural events for just $5. No strings attached. It’s that easy.

Culture Shock Miami is a project from Miami-Dade County’s Department of Cultural Affairs, and its goal is to incentivize a new generation of Miami cultural consumers to get out there and consume some art. It does so by offering them dirt cheap tickets.

Go take a look at Culture Shock Miami’s website to see what deals are available. Choose from events at Gablestage, Just the Funny, the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center and many more. Plus, anyone eligible for the $5 ticket can purchase an additional ticket for $5 as well so they can bring a friend or have someone a tad older accompany them. The program says it has sold over 100,000 since its inception in 2004. Shows coming to town this season include Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom, Currents by Mayumana and In To America.

Go pick up some tickets now and get your teen out of the house.
