EDM legend David Guetta is no stranger to Miami but with Ultra Festival canceled, we were sure we wouldn’t be seeing him around these parts for a while. We were wrong.
This Saturday, April 18, Guetta—like nearly every artist right now—is taking his talents to the internet for a livestream performance from a secret location in Miami. The gig, organized in partnership with the Miami Downtown Development Authority, is a global fundraiser for the World Health Organization (WHO), Feeding South Florida, Feeding America, and the French Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris. “My heart goes out to all those suffering from the global health pandemic and I hope that this livestream event will bring people together and help raise money for those in need,” says Guetta.
While we can’t say where Guetta will turn up exactly, organizers hint that he’ll take over a balcony in Downtown Miami with a full, state-of-the-art visual production. Don’t live in Downtown? The show will be broadcast at 6pm EST on Saturday via the DJ’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch channels and on the Miami Downtown Development Authority’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Viewers interested in donating should head to davidguetta.com/donate.
Guetta’s performance will mark the third consecutive Saturday balcony party in the city. Welcome to your new club nights, Miami.
