South Beach is leaning into its rep as a whimsical, boozy playground for adults. Just in time for spring break, the iconic party destination will welcome The Monster, a 1,000-foot-long, neon-hued bounce house complemented by DJs, drag queens and plenty of drinks.
Taking over the oceanfront Lummus Park from March 17 to 26, the girthy, snaking inflatable course boasts over 40 obstacles with wacky names like The Terminator and House of Hell, plus a 59-foot mega-slide.
Spanning a full block from 11th and 12th Streets along Ocean Drive, The Monster's grounds will be home to street food vendors and bars serving beer and cocktails. The 10-day activation also features a day-to-night party atmosphere with live DJs, drag queens, retro games, karaoke and boozy bingo with prizes.
Miami will mark The Monster’s U.S. debut and, given this town's rep for wreaking 24/7 party havoc, we think it’s a pretty clever matchup. Born in London in 2017, the massive inflatable obstacle course—billed as the world’s largest—is geared toward adults, though there are family-friendly sessions scheduled from 10am to 1pm daily.
Coming to Miami Beach as part of the city’s second-annual Miami Beach Live! daytime programming initiative, tickets to The Monster are $27 for general admission or $19 with proof of Miami Beach residency.
A “Monster Baller VIP” ticket package for two includes 90 minutes of unlimited runs through The Monster, 90 minutes of table service in the VIP area, two free T-shirts and expedited access into The Monster.
