Ever notice that influencers seem to always be eating, drinking and living better than you? Yeah, us too—and we want in. So each week, we ask one of these in-the-know Miamians to share their access and answer a city-centric burning question.
Who makes the best mojito in Miami?
Gio Gutierrez of Chat Chow TV gives us the lowdown on three of Miami’s most delicious mojitos.
“I love mojitos, so this is going to be a tough one. Instead, I’ll give you three completely different options on where to imbibe Miami’s unofficial drink all around our Magic City.
Planta in South Beach makes a kombucha mojito with muddled fresh berries and berry kombucha, which I love instead of club soda for a vinegary kick.
At Estefan Kitchen, you can have a Havana mojito, which is basically a classic but with Havana Club Clásico (the dark rum) for a mojito with more flavor than your average one. And yes, a sugarcane stick comes with it. Or you can order a Chusma Fina, which is a classy mojito topped with Martini & Rossi Prosecco.
Lastly, for my favorite authentic mojito, look no further than Ortanique on the Mile in Coral Gables. They teamed up with Bacardi and added a little of what they call “Ortanique magic” to create an award-winning cocktail. One taste and you’ll know why this is the ultimate mojito—in my humble opinion.
Enjoy this classic Cuban import in our perfect paradise. ¡Salúd!”
