Ever notice that influencers seem to always be eating, drinking and living better than you? Yeah, us too—and we want in. So each week, we ask one of these in-the-know Miamians to share their access and answer a city-centric burning question.

What’s the best spot for a casual date-night in Miami?

Dianne Rubin and Geoffrey Anderson, the couple behind Miami Food Pug, head to St. Roch Market for a low-key night out.

“The Design District doesn’t exactly scream “casual,” but there’s a spacious neighborhood gem that’s great for a chill date night: St. Roch Market. The place specializes in…everything. Sushi, tacos, fried chicken—they’re all available, and vendors are usually fast in cranking food out. This is great if 1) you’re starving and/or 2) your date sucks and you need an excuse to cut things short.

Because there’s something for everyone here, there’s no need to worry if your date is a picky eater. There’s also a large bar serving up craft cocktails to keep the conversation flowing. Pro tip: Since St. Roch hails from New Orleans, make sure to get a classic Sazerac. Once you’re done, there’s plenty to do in the area—like walk around the District and look at luxury goods you can’t afford. For a laidback night out, St. Roch Market is hard to beat.”
