This spring, Miamians looking for some respite from the city's constant hustle and bustle should consider spending some time in Little River—recently named Miami's coolest neighborhood by Time Out—where a new yoga and mindfulness studio is set to open.

Called Wild Thing, the space is inspired by Tulum and "designed as a serene escape from urban noise, offering an environment that feels like a natural retreat," according to an official press release.

“As Miami grows denser and more fast-paced, people are craving more authentic, immersive wellness experiences that transcend the superficial,” said Alejandra Barraza, co-founder of Wild Thing, in a statement. “We wanted to create a space that not only nurtures physical health but also cultivates a deeper sense of peace and connection through our immersive and unique programming.”

Speaking of programming, members will have access to a variety of activities—from hot yoga to sound healing sessions, niche movement classes and even cold plunges—across the 2,500-square-foot space.

A spacious front and back garden will contribute to the destination's nature-focused ethos, as will the outdoor showers, reminiscent of a stay in Mexico.

Think of Wild Thing as a jungle-inspired retreat within the city—an escape you'll appreciate as the summer travel season heats up and Miami becomes even more crowded.

The best part? Art galleries, vintage shops and Michelin-recommended spots abound in the neighborhood, making a visit to the new wellness center just one of many things to do in Little River during your day out.
