With the fall and TV movie season all but nonexistent, Miamians, thankfully have other forms of visual entertainment to look forward to. As drive-ins (and float-ins!) continue to pop up just about everywhere across the city, there’s a new outdoor cinema and event space to add to the growing list: Drive-In at the Fair.

Coral Gables-based company 3 FEO Entertainment is behind the temporary venue, which will host more than just movie nights. Comprised of a stage with several large projection screens, the Drive-In is equipped for concerts, recitals and socially distanced corporate events (Imagine the office Christmas party, drive-in style). There are 150 marked spaces where attendees can park and watch safely from their vehicles. And unlike other venues that charge you per car, the price of admission here will be per person: $11 for adults and kids over 15, while children 15 and under are free.

Drive-In at The Fair kicks off on August 14, with a packed schedule of screenings over the weekend: Scarface at 6pm on Friday and Saturday, The Addams Family on Saturday at 2:30p and Secret Life of Pets on Sunday at 2:30pm. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase up to 45 minutes before the movie and will be delivered to each vehicle. Running late? Preorder your food ahead of time and ensure there’s a full spread of carnival fare waiting for you when you arrive.
