The story of Miami and the story of Cuba are intertwined and the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora attempts to examine this relationship, as well as its implications on the world and the artists whose work is displayed. The museum moved into its new home on Coral Way in November 2016, and has been showcasing work from Cuban artists, such as Luis Cruz, in its pristine white galleries since then.
