Time Out says

You have to venture onto an island and cross a tall bridge to reach the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, which sits on 12 acres of prime beachfront property and boasts 20,000-square-foot spa, two pools and a tennis center. Once you’ve made the trek, there’s really no reason to leave the resort. Dining is covered on the premises, too, and it’s not in the way of most forgotten hotel restaurants. LightKeeper’s modern coastal fare and beachlike atmosphere make it a favorite for locals, too. The Ritz-Carlton is a family-friendly property but it’s especially welcoming to couples. Celebrating an anniversary or have a special occasion you’d like to commemorate? There’s an entire team dedicated to executing moments that surprise and delight.

Neighborhood: Key Biscayne is a small city-island adjacent to Brickell and Coconut Grove. With plenty of shopping and restaurant options nearby, there’s never a need to return to the mainland.

Nearby:
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park: For a quiet beach park with picnic tables and bike trails, plus the opportunity to climb to the top of one of Florida’s only remaining lighthouses
Novecento: For thick Argentinian steaks and a solid selection South American wines
The Wetlab: For loads of cheap craft beers and unobstructed views of Key Biscayne

Time Out tip: The brunch at Rusty Pelican is unmatched in terms of views and service. It’s more of a family-friendly crowd but equally enjoyable for couples.
