Set in lushly tropical landscaped gardens, the Grove also boasts a peachy view over Biscayne Bay. Rooms are pleasant with terracotta floors; some have canopy beds shrouded in butterfly netting. But although secluded, the hotel has its fair share of Miami eccentricity - garish palm-tree columns, paintings of monkeys and fixtures made of pineapples. Not to mention Havana Nights, a salute to Latin cuisine (Thursdays, 8-11pm) in
Baleen, the resident restaurant - one of the best in the Grove.
