The grot of Washington Avenue is forgotten when you step into the Clinton’s lobby. Designed by French architect Eric Raffi, it’s a swell combination of cool and warmth, with rich dark-wood accents and rainbow-blue hues. In fact, it’s downright sexy. This theme carries through to the bedrooms—naturally—which, complete with flatscreen TVs, down-filled duvets and pillows and designer bath products—are cocoons of chic. A select few also have whirlpool baths and terraces. Lounge by the pool or slump on overstuffed cushions at low tables for breakfast and light lunch served by the respectable house restaurant, the Goods.
