Nothing about Argentine hotelier Alan Diego Faena’s properties are modest—or lowkey. But the spa at his sprawling Faena Hotel Miami Beach, ethereally dubbed the Tierra Santa Healing House, will undoubtedly help you reset, unwind and return to earth with its high-end-holistic approach to wellness. Set on the third floor of the hotel, the 22,000-square-foot sanctuary boasts one of the East Coast’s largest hammams (that’s a Turkish Bath for the unindoctrinated), along with shaman-developed body-healing rituals and treatments, plus high-tech facial treatments using super-luxurious Naturopathic and Biologique Recherche skin care lines. Does a vibrational healing session that involves “sacred oils” poured over your body as Nepalese singing bowls handmade from seven different metals are used to gently soothe your lower back ($400 for 110 minutes) sound a tad over-the-top? Absolutely. But that’s sort of the point and, trust us, if you can afford the splurge, you won’t regret making it here.
