Remember when, in the movie-remake version of Miami Vice, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx take a speedboat from South Beach to Cuba to drink mojitos? Soon you’ll be able to do the same, only faster, cheaper and on a JetBlue airplane.

Beginning August 31st, the airline will operate flights from Fort Lauderdale to three major provinces in Cuba. Flights to Santa Clara (Villa Clara) will be the first with Camagüey and Holguín slated to begin November 3rd and 10th, respectively. The hipster airline, operating planes offering lots of legroom and free Wi-Fi, is gaining major cool points with its most recent announcement—in part because it will be the first U.S. airline to fly to Cuba in more than 50 years.

More significant than that? The steps the company plans to take to ensure travel is cheap and convenient. (No more surreptitious stops in Mexico!) Travelers can either fill out the forms and permits requited by both countries when booking their flight or at the gate. Don’t forget: the $99 ticket will include the Cuban government-required health insurance coverage and one free checked bag—leaving you more cash to spend on rum.
