What’s cuter than a dog in a Halloween costume? Nothing. Cats and babies are tied for a close second, but man’s best friend dressed as a pirate or wearing any sort of getup wins us over every time. Whether you have a dog of your own or just want to peep other people's pups in adorable outfits, these pet-friendly celebrations are a must-do this Halloween.

Brickell Pooch Parade
Think you have the best-dressed dog in town? Bring Fido to Brickell’s third annual pooch parade for a chance to win a series of prizes. Participants can compete for most star-studded and best-dressed pooch, as well as in other pooch/pal categories. Registration is required to compete.
Mary Brickell Village, 901 S Miami Ave (brickellhomeowners.com). Sat 29 10:30am–noon; free.

HOWL-O-WEEN Doga
If you’ve spied your pooch stretching, you already know his ability to downward dog. Bring him to this special “doga” class, a Vinyasa flow that’s open to all levels (and species). While it might be tough to get your pet to stretch on command, dressing him up in full Halloween regalia might inspire some movement.
Love Life Wellness Center, 584 NW 27th (eventbrite.com). Sat 29 1:30–3:30pm; $30.

Brunch Pawty
You won’t get weird stares for bringing your pup to this boozy brunch, especially if both of you are sporting a costume. As with most brunch parties, this one features a menu of tasty dishes, cocktails and craft beers, as well as bark bites for all furry guests. Admission is free but guests are encouraged to RSVP to enter the costume contest.
Campton Yard at the Hall South Beach, 1455 Washington Ave (305-531-1251). Sun 30 11am–3pm; free.

Howl-O-Ween Festival
Like a fun Halloween celebration for kids only it’s been organized for dogs and features activities, pumpkin photo ops, giveaways and a costume contest. Author Dave Barry and Zoo Miami’s wildlife expert Ron Magill emcee the sixth annual event, which benefits the Paws 4 You rescue organization.
Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Rd (paws4you.org/halloween). Sat 30 noon–5pm. $5, children under 2 free.

Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour
One of Brickell’s most popular happy hours is going to the dogs this Monday. Celebrity pup @Remixthedog hosts the outdoor event, where costumed pets will have the opportunity to strut their stuff on the “dogwalk.” Spectators can take advantage of $5 specials on cocktails and appetizers. Admission is free but guests are encouraged to RSVP.
15th & Vine Kitchen and Bar, W Miami, 485 Brickell Ave (305-503-4400). Mon 31 6–8pm; free.
