TIKD, a new South Florida-based app, thinks it has figured out a way to revolutionize how you deal with traffic tickets. And to prove it, the three-month-old company is offering Miami drivers a chance to rid themselves of their unwanted tickets for free this Thursday, May 18.

There’s a catch: the promo event only lasts one hour, and anyone wishing to participate must show up in person to Mary Brickell Village (901 S Miami Ave) from 12:30pm–1:30pm. TIKD brand ambassadors will be on site to sign up qualifying applicants for a chance to get their tickets sponsored in full.

App creators were inspired to "beat the system" after finding themselves the victims of a classic Miami speed trap. "Citizens should be challenging their tickets far more than they actually do," reads the TIKD website. To use TIKD, drivers snap a photo of their ticket, pay a nominal fee (usually 20 percent less than the fine) and let the app handle the rest.

Can't make it this Thursday? Stay tuned because TIKD will announce three more locations in Miami and Broward where drivers can show up and get their tickets cleared.
