Every time boxing looks to be on the edge of irrelevance, promoters manage to arrange some apocalyptic brawl for the ages that will change the sport as we know it. And while the upcoming Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor fight might not singlehandedly save boxing, it is one of the most anticipated bouts in ages.
And today it was announced that the match will be broadcast in movie theaters across America. Fathom Events and Mayweather Promotions are bringing the fight to select theaters around the country for a lot less than the pay-per-view price (which is just about $100).
Three Miami theaters will be participating in the showing: South Beach 18 on Lincoln Road (1120 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach), Sunset Place 24 (5701 Sunset Dr #300, South Miami) and UA Falls 12 (9000 SW 136th St). Tickets are available for $42.80 via fathomevents.com and you can search for more theaters outside of Miami at the website as well.
