Forty years ago this week, Miami was covered in snow. Really!
Temperatures in South Florida dipped into the low '30s, making every Miamian's dream come true. For once, winter was real. Kids and parents awoke to see cars and sidewalks covered in a blanket of white powder. But it wasn't all good news: the cold wave was detrimental to the region's agriculture, severely damaging fruit and vegetable crops, which resulted in a reported $2 million loss for the state. Still, for one day, Florida boys and girls made snow angels and wore coats to school.
Do you remember the day it snowed in Miami? Here's a look at what happened.
