Is this the year you finally commit to running the Miami Marathon? (Or was that next year?)

Whether you're physically training to compete or just mentally preparing to cheer on your friends participating in the annual race downtown, it's important to carb up before the big event. (Spectating is exhausting!)

This year, Scarpetta at the Fontainebleau is helping participants fuel up with a $39 prix-fixe meal (exclusive of tax and gratuity) that features several of the restaurant's classic dishes: creamy polenta in a fricassee of truffled mushrooms; house-made spaghetti in tomato and basil sauce and duck foie gras ravioli, just to name a few. The deal, which includes three courses (with a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert), will be offered January 27 and 28, from 6 to 8pm.

While the Miami Spice-like menu is intended for runners who need to carbo-load before the race, the special is available to anyone who dines within the time frame. But you didn't hear it from us.
