Lin-Manual Miranda's Tony-sweeping musical is coming to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts next year. Hamilton: An American Musical will be part of the theater's 2018-2019 production season, but no word yet on when it will actually premiere.
Last month, it was reported that show producers were in town to audition Miami talent for a South Florida production. Could this mean Miami's production may possibly star the first Cuban Hamilton? Given the city's mix of nationalities and cultures and the show's diverse ensemble, anything is possible.
One thing is certain: no Broadway-loving Miamian is throwing away their shot to see the production when it hits our hometown.
