Miami doesn't lack cool bars nor opportunities to have a cocktail any day of the week, but your boring happy hour routine could use some sprucing. Break up with your local watering hole, even if just for a few days, and stop in for a drink at one of these five boozy events happening in Miami this week. It’s OK to see other bartenders—just remember you were on a break.
Spritz at the Raleigh
Instead of the typical work-gym routine we’re so used to, Italians pop into a bar for a Spritz after a long day at the office. Get behind the boozy tradition while celebrating the launch of the new book Spritz: Italy’s Most Iconic Aperitivo Cocktail at the Raleigh pool. Your ticket price of $25 includes a signed copy of the book, Aperol Spritzes and Negroni Sbagliatos cocktails and Italian snacks. Plus, $1 of each ticket sold goes to Water for People, a non-profit bringing safe drinking water to people around the world. (Wed 6pm, 1775 Collins Ave)
Attaboy Pop-Up
Fresh off their win for Best Bar Team at the 2016 Time Out Bar Awards, the guys at Attaboy are taking over the Miami Beach EDITION’s Matador Bar for one night only. The NYC outpost doesn’t have a menu (it’s all bespoke cocktails) but the pop-up bar will feature a small selection of bartenders Michael Mcilroy’s and Sam Ross’ signature creations: the gin-based Remember the Alimony, tequila-based Late Noche Reviver and scotch-based Cameron’s Kick. All cocktails are $12. (Thu 9pm–midnight, Matador Bar, 2901 Collins Ave)

Blind Pig VIP opening
If you’ve yet to have your fill of speakeasy bars and Prohibition-themed cocktails in Miami, head to Downtown this Friday for the VIP opening of Blind Pig. The newest forbidden cocktail den in the area is celebrating its opening with two hours of unlimited Banyan Reserve and Illegal Mescal drinks (8–10pm) and live jazz performances all night. RSVP here for admission. (Fri 8pm, 28 NE 14th St)
Brickell Craft Beer Tour
This week is American Craft Beer Week—your chance to celebrate the hardworking people making small-batch brews by drinking lots of beer. Join some like-minded people this Saturday for the Brickell Craft Beer Tour, which includes stops at four local venues and one craft beer at each spot. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. (Sat 6pm–midnight, American Social, 690 SW 1st Ct)
Sangria Sundays at Cleo South Beach
Mediterranean restaurant Cleo South Beach is extending your boozy brunch party with its new Sangria Sunday special, debuting this week. Sip on three different varieties of half-priced sangrias while you chill out at the bar or lounge outside on the patio. (Sun 6–11pm, Cleo South Beach at the Redbury Hotel, 1776 Collins Ave)
