Outdoor happy hours turn from sweaty to delightful during our short winter months. We recommend starting early in Wynwood, where the arsenal of outdoor bars is just stellar. Best for...
Craft brews: Veza Sur
Veza Sur Brewing Co. is a new brewery with Latin flair. Choose from a solid roster of light, refreshing brews (the frothy, ice-cold Brazilian chopp is a must), or opt for a fabulous and perfectly executed beer cocktail, including a take on the black and tan with a thick layer of spiced banana foam—the perfect way to warm up during a chilly night on the patio.
Drinking wine: Lagniappe
Lagniappe is just a short drive from Wynwood’s main drag. In addition to a huge selection of wine and beer, it has delicious cheese plates. Choose your favorite from the fridge, and the staff will plate it for you. Grab all of the above and head to the sprawling back patio stuffed with mismatched furniture. If you happen to stay for the live-jazz nights, even better.
Getting down: El Patio
El Patio is where you turn up—especially on Sunday, when the postbrunch crowd packs into the airy backyard for Latin beats and
$5 buckets of beer.
Live music: the Wynwood Yard
The mixed-use space of the Wynwood Yard is always hosting something cool, whether it be live music, craft fairs or food events. Overwhelmed? Reggae Sundays are always a safe bet. The music blends perfectly with the open-air vibes of the hybrid beer garden and bar.
Rooftop views: No 3. Social
While it’s not quite the statuesque rooftops of Brickell and Downtown, this second-floor bar still makes the cut—partly because it’s the only one of its kind in Wynwood. Head to the open-air lounge and bar above the Wynwood Arcade for a menu of globally inspired street food and craft cocktails.
