If you live in Miami, you’re already operating under the hashtag #blessed. But even Miamians need a miracle every now and again to navigate this city (read: rush hour). When traffic becomes unbearable and parking is seemingly nonexistent, think back to the time the city gods shone their light down on you and remember one of these 15 signs you’ve been blessed by the Miami gods could happen again at any second.
1. Making it to work on time in downtown Miami or Brickell because you narrowly missed getting stuck at the Brickell Avenue Bridge
2. Forgetting to pay your meter and not getting a ticket (applicable in Coral Gables and South Miami, not so much in Wynwood)
3. Finding a parking meter in South Beach that doesn’t yet charge $4/hour
4. Finding parking of any kind in Miami Beach, Brickell and Downtown
5. Getting into LIV at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach without paying a cover charge—really, getting into LIV at all
6. Going to someone’s apartment for the first time and realizing their building has free parking
7. Being on time to your Friday night plans because you didn’t get caught in Critical Mass traffic

8. Waiting less than 30 minutes in line at The Salty Donut and making it to the front of the line before your favorite flavor is sold out
;
9. Not stepping on dog crap in Coconut Grove, Brickell or South Beach—all prime dog-walking areas
10. You only waited five minutes for your car at valet
11. Not having your car towed in South Beach or booted in downtown Miami
12. Getting an Uber drive who speaks English fluently
13. When the hostess at Greenstreet Café tells you you’ll be seated for brunch in less than two hours
14. Arriving at Toasted Bagelry & Deli after noon to find they still have whole-wheat-everything bagels
15. You exited your car and made it inside five seconds before the start of a torrential downpour
