Time Out says

The sign out front says it all: air conditioning, beer and cocktails. What more could you want in perpetually hot Miami? Perhaps weekly karaoke or a variety of local brews on tap? Don't forget the cocktails too (especially the Moscow mule). After a couple of those, walk outside and grab a slice from Gramps own tiny restaurant, Pizza Tropical. This Wynwood bar—which has stayed amazingly true to its character in the trendy art district—is popular for a reason and also hosts live comedy (Hannibal Buress and Eric Andre have stopped by for surprise sets) and live music from rising stars like Angel Olsen and Mitski.

What’s on

Double Stubble

Laidback Wynwood watering hole Gramps keeps programming fresh and eclectic every day of the week. On Thursdays, the spotlight turns to some of Miami’s fiercest drag performers, from well-seasoned mainstays to emerging talent and more experimental characters. The well-attended weekly hosted by beloved bearded queen Karla Croqueta continues to turn out one of the city’s most consistently on-point live shows, drag or otherwise. Resident DJs Hottpants and Zehno keep the bodies moving in between sets.

Sleaze Freaks: An Indie Sleaze Dance Party

Dig out your skinny jeans, fire up the old flat iron and draw on your eyeliner extra heavy tonight. We're going full indie sleaze on Saturday, March 15th as Sleaze Freaks takes over Gramps. It's a naughtily nostalgic night of dance-punk, electroclash and alt-rock bangers with DJ Miss Purple Shampoo behind the decks. Gather your top eight and dance yrself clean to a set of era-defining tracks by The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem and more. And don't forget to charge your Cybershot—we're expecting a full Facebook album in the morning.
