Nearly 10 years after opening its doors in New York City’s East Village—and expanding to Los Angeles and Chicago—Blind Barber sets up shop in South Beach. You’ll walk through the lobby of the Nautilus by Arlo to get to this special hybrid barbershop/cocktail lounge, where the mood shifts from business to pleasure every evening at 5pm. It’s around that time when everyone puts down their razors and shears and finds their way to the backroom for more drinking (a drink is included in the price of every hair-care service, but the lounge has its own full list of spirits and craft cocktails), eating (snacks and an assortment of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches are available) and general lounging—from VIP areas and plush velvet couches to a stand-up counter, there’s no mistaking this place for anything but a bonafide nightlife destination.
