Tuza is a concept store created by Mexican designer Suzzan Atala to showcase national talent by bringing several Mexican designers together in one place. Located in the heart of the Roma neighborhood, this store offers a bit of everything: clothes, accessories, eyewear, notebooks and bags.
You’ll find Mexican brands like, Carla Fernández, Lorena Saravia, Arkatha, Cihuah, Héctor de la Peña and Paloma Lira, alongside a small section of foreign brands like, the standout, Hanger from London.
It’s decorated with wooden furniture, white lighting, and walls adorned with metal paper acting as a curtain. There are also strategically arranged garments which give the space a certain harmony of color and visual appeal to its customers.
In the accessories area, you can find eyewear brands like Via Vanilla, plastic woven bags that remind us of the now-famous Acapulco chairs and, of course, offerings from house brand: Tuza. There aren’t a ton of footwear, options but you will find Macaria, a women’s shoe brand that works with Mexican artisans, for sale.
Tuza also has a space dedicated to the designer’s jewelry collection where pieces by Jacobo Toledo, Avocet and Felina steal the show.
Pricing really varies by brand and design but, clothes range from 1,800 MXN to 3,000 MXN all the way to 4,500 MXN and up for unique pieces.
