I put on my cowboy boots, dusted off my cowboy hat, and headed northbound. Although the Rodeo is in Tlalnepantla, this place could be a small branch in Monterrey.
I had no idea it would be such a big place. "They fit like 12 thousand people in here" I heard a man with crocodile skin boots say. Neither did I have any idea that it is best to be there just before 10pm, after that time loads of people start arriving and you have to queue.
Although it might be described as the epicenter of the Mexican ‘group party’, Rodeo Santa Fe has everything for everyone. In the large room it holds huge numbers of people, amongst whom have been Espinoza Paz, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Banda El Recodo, Banda Machos, Limite and many other legends who have crowded into this space with many couples dancing around them. When there is not an act playing there are DJs who are responsible for encouraging people to dance.
In order to vary the musical spectrum there is a lounge, where you can dance to other music. There is also a family’s section where there is a mechanical bull a souvenir shop and taco stands. It's a great party. This is a place you should go to at least once in your life.
