Due to the effervescence of new artistic possibilities in the city, Universidad de la Comunicación created Espacio Arterial, a cultural center specializing in contemporary art.
This house located in La Roma was adapted to feature 10 rooms to house exhibitions and installations, a small cinema and a forum for screenings and concerts.
They offer cinematic appreciation workshops and art curatorship as a media tool to the public, as well as advanced courses for curators—contemporary art institutionalization criticism and self-management for artists, among the highlights.
Espacio Arterial opened its doors with a collective exhibition, Ejercicios de la probabilidad, bringing together the work of seven young artists like Ary Ehrenberg, Alfredo Esparza and Laura Pirez.
