Thinking about heading down south for a fun getaway? We don’t blame you. Tasmania is full of rugged wilderness, exceptional food, wine, whiskey, city-wide festivals and more.

But planning a trip to Tasmania can be a little overwhelming. But now you can get inspired and interact with a Messenger chatbot created by Spirit of Tasmania that showcases the best that Tassie has to offer.

The chatbot, which is found on Spirit of Tasmania's Facebook page and operates via Messenger, is a choose-your-own-adventure style experience. It's hosted by Juniper the “Chat-manian” Devil, who is based on a real, two-year-old Tasmanian devil residing at Devils@Cradle wildlife park and who was sponsored by Spirit of Tasmania in 2017.

Are you a foodie fanatic? A bit of a thrillseeker? A lover of all things luxe? A family explorer? A bushwalker or nature lover? You can select which themed road trip you want to experience and let Juniper take you on an interactive road trip over the course of nine days.

As you’re virtual road tripping with Juniper, you’ll be able to do a trial run of your journey and see short videos that show every step of the way, from boarding the Spirit of Tasmania, to the waterfalls you’ll visit, the food you’ll eat and even the inside of the accommodation you could stay in.

Keen to give it a go? Take a road trip with Juniper here.
