Time Out says

If you love all things Australian fashion and design, get ready for the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival to take over the city, with two huge weeks of sartorial heaven. The festival will run from February 24 to March 9, and will feature more than 100 free and ticketed events including runway shows, workshops, talks, exhibitions, shopping events and more.

The 2024 program aims to capture the full spectrum of the diverse fashion community in Victoria and Australia, with a broader array of designers featured, as well as celebrations of sustainability and First Nations design. Highlights of the festival include the Independent Programme, which features a series of unique runways, like the opening night Marie Antoinette-themed event held at Vintage Garage in Fitzroy, a 'Take Me to the Disco' runway from designer Millie DeBoo, a global indigenous runway, and a plus-size runway – to name a few. Then, there's the premium runway series, which will feature fashion from the crème de la crème of Aussie designers.

On top of runways, there will also be glamorous experiences, informative panel discussions and heaps of fashion pop-ups. Museums Victoria will host Fashion Talks events to address some of the hottest topics in the modern fashion world,

Visit the Melbourne Fashion Festival website for more program details and to purchase tickets.
