Time Out says

There's never been a better time to be vegan than right now. If you know where to go, Melbourne is packed with vegan eateries as well as non-vegan restaurants catering to plant-based diets

And now, vegans have another reason to celebrate: Melbourne's very first monthly vegan market is kicking off on Saturday, September 2. Running on the first Saturday of every month on the green hills of the Abbotsford Convent, Vegan Mini Market will play host to a host of stalls that are all 100 per cent vegan owned and operated.

On Saturday, you'll find tasty Asian street food-inspired fare from Woking Amazing, hearty pies and comfort food by Yay Foods (who give 10 per cent of profits to animal sanctuary Edgar's Mission), vegan cakes by Lady Rawsome and healthy plant-based dishes by Good Freakin Food. For the full list, visit the Vegan Mini Market's Facebook page.

These are the best vegan restaurants in Melbourne.
