Time Out says

It's not the first subject matter that you'd guess would be the inspiration behind an exhibition filled with pretty pastel decor, aesthetic interiors and interactive installations, but poo is at the centre of this new attraction headed to Melbourne.

Unko Museum: The Kawaii Poop Experience was a hugely popular event in Japan, and now it's headed Down Under. Unko translates to, you guessed it, poop, and kawaii means cute. Kawaii poop is a huge craze over in Japan, and now Melburnians will get a taste of the trend (well, hopefully not an actual taste). Think bright colours, neon displays and playful games – emphasis is on the cute here, not so much the poop part.

The exhibition features colourful poop decor, Instagrammable photo opps, installations, displays and immersive elements. Some of the adorable experiences include the 'Crappy Game Corner’, with retro-inspired games and a kawaii poop-themed ‘Unko Factory’ shop at the end of the poop-filled journey. Visitors will gain insight into Japanese pop culture, the famous kawaii aesthetic, and just have an all-round fun, family-friendly and eccentric experience.

The exhibition will open at 360 Bourke St from January 17, with sessions will running at various times throughout the week. Tickets are on sale now and are $22 for a child fare and $31 for adults. Find out more about the exhibition on the website
