Time Out and Schweppes are shouting you a signature cocktail to celebrate the launch of Schweppes Signature Series Mixers and craft soft drinks at Garden State Hotel on Thursday April 4. The night will herald the beginning of a month-long takeover called Bar Schweppes, with unique Schweppes cocktail creations on offer from April 4-28.
From 5pm on April 4, the first 100 people to the bar will be able to order a complimentary botanical creation from a curated list. The cocktails have been designed to show off the new mixers, which contain delicious and unusual elements such as Indian Chilli and Colorado Mountain Salts combined with spirits, garnishes and mists of essential oils to provide a playground for the senses.
The cocktails include the Blossom and Tonic, a gin and elderflower syrup concoction with Schweppes Signature Series Bright Tonic, fresh flowers and aromatic lemongrass oils, and the Bright Highball, which features gin, fino sherry, lemon juice and peach bitters.
La Vida Collins is a twist on the classic Tom Collins with Schweppes Signature Series Lemonade, or if you’re feeling like your vodka soda game needs an improvement, ask for the Whiplash Spritz — a vodka, passionfruit, fresh lime, basil situation topped with Schweppes Signature Soda Water. To sweeten the deal, try the Café Mule, with spiced rum, a touch of coffee, chocolate and Schweppes Signature Series Dry Ginger topped with toasted marshmallow and aromatic orange oil.
Expect to receive one of these cocktails for free at the Bar Schweppes takeover if you're among the first 100 to rock up on April 4. At other times they are just $15 a pop, or you can buy a Schweppes Signature Sessions Package, which will give you the choice of three for just $35.
