Melburnians know and love the Finders Keepers Market for creating the opportunity to shop from our city's most creative makers and designers – but this iteration of the biannual event is something fresh. As part of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the market is holding a special foodie edition, where you can shop everything from hot sauce and kombucha to cookies and locally brewed beer.
More than 50 local, independent makers will come together at North Melbourne's Meat Market for the two-day pop-up event, in a celebration of the food community. The market is designed to promote thoughtful, intention buying as part of the slow food movement. The aim is that shoppers leave not only with some delicious new treats to take home, but with a feeling of connection to the people that carefully crafted them. You can find the full list of all the stallholders here.
But it's not just a shopping experience – there'll be a special market menu using ingredients from stallholders, tablescapes with pieces from vendors for hosting inspo, a food art gallery, a collaborative mindfulness mural and a gin masterclass from Molly Rose Brewing.
The Finders Keepers Food Market will run from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23. Tickets are $7 and children under 13 can enter for free. Find out more about the event here.
