Time Out says

If you have plans on February 18, nix 'em: CBD favourites Section 8 and Ferdydurke are bringing back the Brooklyn Block Party, the laneway duo's much-loved New York-style party. This year, partygoers will be celebrating the Afro-Latino diaspora in New York and Melbourne with the help of a stellar line-up of international, interstate and local talent.

Entry is free, so make your way over from 3pm to get a primo spot to view performances from the likes of Nitty ScottQueen PIjale and Cris Gamble. On the decks will be SmilezColetteWalla CThe MenaceJulia TowersMzRizkX8nder.MHoneydewNo Era B2B BeyngMad Rhythm B2B Slim ShadyGasolina and Palazzo.

The event is in collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery, so you can expect Brooklyn beers and tinnies on offer all day and night. When you're all danced out and need to refuel, you can load up on tacos from Little Hop, the Fitzroy taqueria that'll be popping up here on the day. Tunes will be blaring until 3am, so round up your mates and get ready to party New York-style.
