Uniting the Portuguese-speaking communities of Portugal, Brazil and East Timor, Queen Vic Market’s Taste of Portugal festival will be a culmination of tasty food, rich history, live entertainment and plenty of culture.
Expect an assortment of Brazilian and Portuguese street food to tempt your tastebuds (including delectable desserts like traditional Portuguese custard tarts), plus live music and traditional dance.
For those who are keen to get involved, the Latin and samba dance classes are sure to get you moving.
Punters can score traditional gifts such as hand-made ceramics at the market’s many dedicated stalls.
Bring the kids along as there will be arts and crafts stalls, face painting and drawing competitions. There’s even a make-your-own-chorizo class!
The festival will run from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, June 9 at Queen Victoria Market. Entry is free.
