We’re used to Marvel Stadium playing host to blockbuster football games or huge live music concerts, but from September 11-26 it’s going to transform into something slightly different: an interactive nine-hole golf course.
In a Melbourne first, anyone over the age of 18 will be able to tee off from various points around the stadium – including corporate boxes, the player entrance and even the famous ground itself. Think of it as the driving range of your dreams, on the very pitch where sporting legends have been made.
“We are pleased to launch Stadium Golf in Melbourne and offer an incredibly unique and an unforgettable experience for fans in the sporting and entertainment capital,” said Marvel Stadium’s head of consumer business, Scott Fitzgerald on the brand new initiative.
“Marvel Stadium is a true entertainment hub fans can enjoy all year round, and we are eager to welcome guests on-site to interact with the stadium in a way we have never seen before.”
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an amateur or a Cameron Smith in the making, the experience is open to people with all levels of experience. You don’t need to bring any gear either – Taylor Made will be supplying premium golf clubs to all who take part.
Best of all, if you happen to be the first person to hit a hole-in-one on the Resimax Group-sponsored hole, you could win $10,000. If that’s not a good enough reason to start practicing your swing, we don’t know what is.
