Time Out says

This winter, St Kilda's foreshore (located right next to the Palais Theatre) will be home to Map 57; an arts festival precinct that will play host to bars, food stalls, carnival rides, a Spiegeltent and a sparkling outdoor ice rink.

Given that Map 57 is by the same creative team behind Adelaide's Garden of Unearthly Delights arts carnival, you can bet on some eye-opening performances and fun little surprises along the way. While the performance spaces host a swag of comedians (including Fiona O'Loughlin and Heath Franklin), cabaret (Blanc de Blanc) and kids' performances (Tessa Waters' How to be a Rockstar), the outdoor area near the St Kilda foreshore will be home to the Winter Garden Ice Rink.

The rink will be open every day of the festival, with increased hours over the July school holidays. Never skated before? Kids and adults alike are welcome to hire a penguin skating aid to lean on, and skate hire is included in the ice rink price.
