There’s no better way to spend a weekend than by eating and drinking by the beach. Turns out the City of Kingston agrees and are devoting a whole weekend to the time-honoured tradition of eating until your stomach (and heart) are full with the Mordialloc Food, Wine and Music Festival.
Mordi Fest is a two-day celebration of all the best things in life: food, wine and music. Taking place at Peter Scullin Reserve (that’s right next to Mordialloc beach foreshore), the festival is packed full of tasty delights.
A whopping 20 street food vendors are already confirmed for the festival, including Bull Pit BBQ, Dandee Donuts, Pizza Forno, Timboon Ice Cream, Nica Tacos, Nem N’ Nem Vietnamese, Captain Calamari and heaps more. Thirsty? 2 Brothers Brewery, Bad Shepherd Brewing Co, the Prosecco Van, Heaston Estate, Montalto Wines and heaps more will be pouring all weekend long.
Little gourmands are very welcome at the festival too, with roving performers, a Ferris wheel, face painting and more kid’s activities on-site at this family-friendly festival.
One of the biggest drawcards of the festival is the non-stop music. There are four stages to park yourself in front of with the likes of Youth Group, Dragon, Geoff Achison, Hobsons Bay Coast Guard, Jaguar Jonze, Press Club, Feelds and more doing their thing live on stage.
Entry is just $2 ($5 for families) with all money donated to bushfire recovery. Equal shares are going to Wildlife Victoria’s Victorian Bushfire Appeal and Zoos Victoria’s Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund.
