Time Out says

James Corden eat your heart out. Singer-songwriter and Mutti Mutti man Kutcha Edwards and filmmaker John Harvey have created their own carpool “koorioke” series for Australia.

Set deep in Melbourne’s latte belt (that is, Fitzroy and Collingwood) Kutcha’s Carpool Koorioke follows the titular character as he winds through the inner city streets picking up and dropping off people. Yes, these suburbs might be full of yuppies, vegans and dogs with Instagram pages but the area has always had a strong Indigenous presence as part of Woiwurrung country.

Kutcha’s Carpool Koorioke consists of four short films featuring special guests who hop in, sing, laugh and share stories. Joining Kutcha in the car are artists like Alice Skye, Archie Roach, Dan Sultan, Bart Willoughby, Bunna Lawrie, Emily Wurramara plus Elaine Crombie and local legend Uncle Jack Charles.

See the short films screen for free at the Meat Market on Saturday, May 11. Registrations required.
