To celebrate the opening of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, famous locations across Melbourne were lit up ‘rouge’ for four nights earlier this month. We invited readers to capture the moment by taking a photo of one or more of the participating landmarks and posting on Instagram to #Paint theTownRouge for the chance to win a luxe Moulin Rouge! The Musical experience.

We’re proud to announce that the winner is @CuriousxCharlie, a San Francisco-born blogger living in Melbourne. Clever Charlie created silhouettes of the show’s four dancers Nini, Babydoll, Arabia, and La Chocolat, superimposed upon the Regent Theatre, Flinders Street Station, and the State Library. Check out her winning entry below:

Charlie wins two VIP tickets to the show, one night’s accommodation at the Westin Melbourne and a Sparkling Diamond High Tea for two.

Our runners-up took a number of approaches including romantic selfies, gorgeous framing and creative angles, and in the process scoring themselves a goodie bag of cool Moulin Rouge! The Musical merch. Check them out:
